  • Charles E. Bennett Federal Building Renovation

Skanska provided preconstruction and construction management services for the Charles E. Bennett Federal Building reonvation and modernization of 298,000 SF of office space in an existing 11 story steel frame structure. The scope of work included the removal of asbestos-containing fireproofing, pipe insulation, and floor tiles and removal of lead-based paint. Enhancements to the building interior finishes, HVAC system and electrical system further the modernized the building. The enhancements improved indoor air quality and provided current energy efficiencies that were not available when the facility was originally built. The Bennett Federal Building houses several federal agencies, including the Internal Revenue Service, Department of Labor and Department of Housing and Urban Development.

Client's View

"The success of this project is directly related to the onsite project management staff. Unlike other firms I've worked with, they are always willing to go the "extra mile" to get the job done and satisfy their client. The success of the project is directly related to the devotion and commitment they have provided. I would highly recommend any team invlving this management group based on their achievements in the management and coordination they have done for the Bennett Building Renovations project."
