Skanska provided construction management services for the interior renovation of the Marriott Marquis in downtown Atlanta, Georgia. The renovation created 40,000-SF of new meeting space, a 24,700-SF ballroom, seven breakout rooms, a concierge area, two new restaurants, a 6,700-SF health club, lounges and a business center.
During construction, Skanska phased construction to separate the renovation of the north and south ends of the building. This minimized disruption for guests, provided clear pedestrian traffic flows and sufficient meeting space while the hotel remained operational.
