In the years 2006-2009 Skanska reconstructed one of the largest arterial road of the Wielkopolskie voivodeship - S11 road - into the standard of an express road. The route connects the regions of Pomerania and Silesia. Construction works were executed within two contracts in a consortium with Colas Poland. Over 14-kilometer section: Poznań - A2 Krzesiny highway junction - Kórnik was extended from an old, narrow and devastated two-lane road into a four-lane route. Each roadway is 10 meters wide, with two traffic lanes 3,5 meters each with 50 cm rumble strips and strenghtened road shoulders 2,5 meters wide. We realized 11 bridge facilities: pedestrian gangway on the municipal section of S11, bridge facility over the Michałówka river, road viaduct WD 5 in the route of the voivodeship road Swarzędz - Kamionki, viaduct localized on the Gądki juction, pedestrain gangway in Gądki, passage for animals, viaduct in the route of district road Robakowo - Borówiec, bridge facility WA 11 over district road Dziećmierowo - Skrzynki, viaduct on the Kórnik 1 and Kórnik 2 junction as well as the underground pedestrian and bicycle passage. Moreover, within the scope of the contract we repaired viaduct over railway tracks in Gądki.

Pedestrian gangway localised in Gądki is a characteristic facility on the new route. Its structure is composed of the main span, three ramps and stairs. The supporting structure is realized of construction steel S355J2, reinforcing steel B500 and concrete C40/50. Slabs on the main platform were made of glass fibre supersaturated with poliester resin with the use of pultrusion method. The span is suspended on MsAlloy compressing steel bars. Implementation of state-of-the-art materials, original shape and curvature of the main span give the gangway light and dynamic form. Its modern form and esthetis values were appreciated by the Association of Bridge Constructors of the Republic of Poland, awarding this facility with the title "Bridge Construction of the Year 2008".
