Skanska provided program management services to Schlumberger in support of their relocation to the Kendall Square area of Cambridge, Massachusetts. An internationally recognized oilfield services research firm, Schlumberger, now occupies 175,000-SF on three floors within a seven-story building at this location. Skanska’s involvement began at the site selection phase, continued with contract negotiations with building owners and consultants, and included comprehensive management of both the design team and construction manager. Skanska has also continued to provide in-house owner project manager services annually for various lab renovations within its 175,000-SF facilities.
