Skanska’s commercial development business unit has a new EVP of Operations Hungary and Romania

Aurelia Luca, Executive Vice President of Operations Romania extends her scope of responsibility to Hungary. She has been working in the real estate development sector for 20 years and has been a part of the Skanska team for nearly 10 years.

Aurelia Luca is the new Executive Vice President of Operations Hungary and Romania for Skanska’s commercial development business unit. She joined Skanska in 2012, as a Leasing Manager. Since 2018 she has been responsible for running operations in Romania and is a member of Skanska CDE Senior Leadership team. In early 2021 she took over the Hungarian operations, becoming EVP Operations Hungary and Romania and is now responsible for Skanska’s commercial development business unit in both Bucharest and Budapest.

The Hungarian team has built 9 office projects with a total of 230 000 m2 in Hungary so far. Despite the pandemic, Skanska successfully delivered Nordic Light Trio building in Budapest, which will be Skanska’s first WELL certified building in Hungary. Still during the uncertainties, Skanska started the development of the first phase of the new office complex H2Offices in the Váci office corridor. H2Offices will offer about 67,000 sqm of office space with a lot of greenery and smart solutions.

Skanska continues to be a trendsetter in creating not only sustainable but healthy and safe office buildings in the region. During the leadership of Aurelia Luca, Campus 6.2 and Equilibrium 1 were the first office buildings in Romania that obtained WELL Health & Safety Rating. In Hungary the team designed H2Offices to meet the criteria of the new Health & Safety Rating as well. Aurelia’s aim is to continue developing projects in Hungary that meet the highest standards and contribute to reach the goals of Skanska regarding zero emission in 2045.

In the same time, Mariusz Krzak, Executive Vice President of Operations Poland is taking over the Operations in Czech Republic and now he is responsible for Prague, Warsaw and Wrocław markets.
