An office building where people feel at home

Press release 3/9/2017 4:21 PM CET

Skanska focuses on the well-being of the people that will work in Mill Park, its newest office development.

The importance of workplace well-being is gathering increased attention on the international office market. The majority of companies today are consciously striving to create an innovative, comfortable and above all healthy working environment for their employees. Mill Park, Skanska’s newest office complex in Hungary is created according to these new trends and expectations.

Skanska has already started the construction works of its new development, Mill Park. The plan is to create an innovative building complex which will function as a lively meeting-point. The project’s concept is based on one of the most important aspect: the well-being of the employees who will actually work in the building.

“Due to the rapid digital growth our life is accelerating and we spend more time in the office. As the importance of pleasant office areas shows an increasing need, our focus is to create futureproof workplaces with unique place making” says Marcin Łapiński, Managing Director Skanska Property Hungary & Romania. “In particular for Mill Park, we will establish a larger-scale social, informal working area on the ground floor directly connected to a green, cosy courtyard. Besides a suitable location for work, the courtyard will also serve as a venue for community programmes, exhibitions or other get together activities. We are glad that our approach is popular as we already see the interest coming from potential tenants”

Located at the Pest side of the Danube, Mill Park will offer 35,500 sqm of leasable area in large, connected levels of 4,500 sqm. The office building which will be LEED Gold certified comprises 7 above ground floors and 3 underground parking levels. In addition to the focus on human aspects and the quality of the building, Mill Park is attractive because of its easy accessibility: since the location is close to Petőfi and Rákóczi bridges, the suburban railway line H7, as well as the M3 subway and three tram lines, downtown Pest and Buda are both mere 10-15 minutes away either by car or public transport. “This area of the 9th District is a developing neighbourhood, and an important site for projects in Budapest”, says Łapiński about the location. “The building is an ideal choice for tenants that give more and more attention to the well-being of their employees and are looking for large floorplate, “A+” category offices in an inspiring, youthful and human environment.”

Mill Park will feature various sustainable and innovative solutions to minimize the building’s environmental footprint and significantly reduce its operating costs. 65.2 million EUR was allocated for the office complex which will be delivered in Q2/Q3 of 2018.
