Constructing the project
Within the investment Skanska rebuilt the bridge together with its access roads. Reconstruction consisted of total replacement of existing bearing structure with new construction based on existing supports, suitably converted and refurbished. We have completed a demolition works leaving the bridge abutments and piers. Partially demolished abutments have been strengthen and concreted. Supports surfaces were renovated by using PCC mortar.
Other elements of the bridge: bearings, construction, equipment were newly installed. We executed bridge caps, bridge deck with the bituminous pavement, sidewalks surface. On both sides we built pavements and strengthened and renewed access roads. Bridge has zinc-plated railings with spacing of 1 m and reflecting elements.
It’s location and total length remained the same, width increased from 8,5 m before the reconstruction to 10,5 m after, due to road widening and installation of handrails on the bridge.
