Skanska provided preconstruction and construction management services for the new 74,933-SF Suncoast Credit Union Arena located on FSW's Lee campus. The new arena is the hub for student and community recreation. This arena enhances the student college experience and increases connections throughout the community. The main arena is designed to accommodate 3,200 occupants during basketball and volleyball games and tournaments. The arena's unique architectural design includes wave walls, high sloping roof lines and a variety of finishes that transition between the interior and the exterior of the building. The facility includes concessions areas, a president's suite, three private suites and a hospitality suite. Support spaces include locker rooms, fitness rooms, coach offices and a training suite. Spaces were designed to accommodate general use student activity and recreation areas.
